NEW HOLLYWOOD STRING QUARTET

The New Hollywood String Quartet performs Schubert’s transcendental String Quintet in the 50-seat Parlor Room of the Stimson House. A staple of the LA music scene, the NHSQ brings together four of the finest instrumentalists in Southern California. They will be joined by cellist Clive Greensmith (formerly of the Tokyo String Quartet) in their performance of one of Schubert’s most sublime creations.

STIMSON HOUSE

Often referred to as the “red castle” due to its distinctive four-story turret, the 30-room Stimson House is a spectacular example of Gilded Age architecture. The New Hollywood String Quartet’s concert will be held in the ornate, 50-seat Parlor Room of the House, a fittingly intimate setting for chamber music.

$30 – General Admission – open seating. Seats are first come, first served.

The Stimson House is adjacent to the MSMU Doheny Campus, just northeast of the intersection of W Adams Blvd and S Figueroa. Park in St. Vincent Church parking lot. Enter from S Figueroa.
